Ranunculus Seedling plugs available now!

Our Ranunculus seedling plugs are made from a special blend of peat and coir. They're designed specifically to support strong root development. Producing a highly productive plant making them, garden-ready, robust, and fully hardened off,  ideal for both home gardener and cut flower growers. 

Our Ranunculus plants are grown from premium Italian and French cut flower seed stock, these vigorous young plants are carefully nurtured to ensure strong root systems and uniform growth. Each seedling comes in a 3cm x 5cm plug, perfectly sized for easy transplanting directly into garden beds, containers, or tunnel houses.

Excellent Cutflower providing 4 to 8 stems per plant, with a vase life of 9 to 13 days.

Pick your blooms once the bud is coloured and showing its full hue (no longer green). The petals are starting to loosen, but the bloom hasn't yet opened. When gently squeezed, the bud feels soft like a marshmallow. 

Cut stems early in the morning for the best hydration.

Protect from -1 frosts on the first week of planting.  Wind protection is also helpful, especially for taller varieties. 

Seed-grown ranunculus will develop a corm by the end of the season, which you can either store for next year or leave in the ground to perennialise.​
