Apple ‘Blush Babe’ is a Dwarf compact tree growing to just two metres tall with a mop head habit. This dwarf apple variety produces delicious, full-sized, crispy red fruit. Good natural disease resistance means little spraying is required, and little or no pruning is needed. A high-yielding apple tree that produces crisp, sweet, and juicy fruit with a beautiful, blushed red skin. Bred for small gardens, orchards, and even large pots, this variety is perfect for home growers who want delicious apples without needing a massive tree.
Key Features: Fruit: Medium-sized apples with a sweet, well-balanced flavour
Skin: Blushed red over a creamy-yellow base
Tree Size: Naturally compact and ideal for small spaces or container growing
Harvest Time: Typically late summer to early autumn
Pollination: Partially self-fertile, but if fruit set becomes a problem, then it will benefit from a pollination   partner (e.g., ‘Gala’ or ‘Braeburn’) for a heavier crop
Growing & Care Tips: Sunlight: Full sun for best fruit production
Watering: Keep soil moist but well-draining, especially in hot weather
Pruning: Light annual pruning encourages strong growth and fruiting spurs
Feeding: Apply a balanced fruit tree fertiliser in early spring and midsummer
A fantastic choice for backyards, patios, and urban gardens, Apple ‘Blush Babe’ brings both beauty and bounty to your growing space.
