The ‘Liberty’ apple tree is a modern, disease-resistant variety known for its attractive red blushed apples that have crisp texture, sweet-tart flavour, and reliable productivity. Widely accepted as tops in flavour of the early apples bred for disease resistance. Developed in the United States by the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in the 1970s, ‘Liberty’ was bred for resistance to common apple diseases, making it an excellent low-maintenance choice for home growers and organic orchards.
