The ‘Moorpark’ apricot is a classic, heirloom variety that has been cherished for a long time due to its rich, sweet flavor and excellent versatility. It is a mid to late-season variety, producing large, golden-orange fruit with a deep, aromatic taste which are freestone. Well-suited to cooler climates, ‘Moorpark’ thrives in areas with cold winters and warm summers, making it a great choice for New Zealand growers.
