When you receive your plugs or 7cm potted plants, either pot them up or plant them out into their permanent positions. Water as needed, but take care not to overwater. For the best results, protect young plants from snails and slugs.
Chrysanthemum 'Megumi' is a tall or cascade type, with flowers of golden-yellow anemone- style chrysanthemum, renowned for its suitability in creating large cascades. The blooms are exceptionally long-lasting and are early enough to be showcased in most flower shows. Gardeners can choose to cultivate 'Megumi' as sprays or train it into cascading forms.

Blooming Period: April to May
Suitable For: Cut flowers, garden displays, and exhibitions
Growing Options: Can be grown in the ground or in pots

  • Sunlight: Chrysanthemums thrive in full sun, requiring at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.

  • Soil: They prefer well-draining, fertile soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0.

  • Watering: Maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during dry periods, but avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot.

  • Fertilisation: Regular feeding during the growing season supports healthy development and abundant flowering.

Pinching: To encourage bushier growth and more blooms, pinch back the stems when the plant is about 30cm in height, and repeat the process when the new growth reaches the same length.
