Ranunculus ‘Amandine Mix’ is a premium collection of high-performing ranunculus, specially bred for early flowering, strong stems, and an abundance of luxurious, rose-like blooms. This mix includes a stunning range of colours — from classic whites and soft pastels to vibrant pinks, reds, oranges, and yellows — perfect for creating dazzling spring displays or breathtaking cut flower arrangements.
The Amandine series is known for its ability to thrive in cooler conditions, making it ideal for early-season planting and an excellent choice for both home gardeners and flower farmers.

Excellent Cutflower providing 4 to 8 stems per plant, with a vase life of 9 to 13 days.

Our Ranunculus seedling plug plants are garden-ready, robust, and fully hardened off, making them ideal for both home gardeners and cut flower growers.
The small cylindrical plugs are made from a special blend of peat and coir. They’re designed specifically to support strong root development. Producing a highly productive plant ready to thrive in your garden.
Seed-grown ranunculus will develop a corm by the end of the season, which you can either store for next year or leave in the ground to perennialise.

  • Plant Type: Perennial (grown as an annual in cooler climates)
    Height: 30–50 cm (12–18 inches)
    Spread: 15–25 cm (6–10 inches)

  • Stem Length: 45–60 cm (18–24 inches), making it an excellent cut flower
Foliage: Deeply lobed, bright green leaves
  • Soil Type: Well-draining, fertile soil with organic matter.
Sunlight: Full sun for best flowering (6+ hours of direct sunlight per day)
Spacing: 15 cm (6 inches) apart to allow air circulation
  • Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy to avoid corm rot.
    Fertilization:
Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser (10-10-10 or 5-10-10) every 2–3 weeks during active growth.
    High potassium fertiliser enhances flowering.
Flowering & Harvesting
  • Blooming Season: Late winter to early summer (varies by climate)
Flower Longevity: Flowers last 9–13 days in a vase
    Harvesting Tips:
Pick flowers when buds are coloured but still closed ("marshmallow stage") for the longest vase life. Cut stems early in the morning for the best hydration.
In New Zealand, Ranunculus should be planted in autumn to early winter (March–July) for flowering in late winter to early summer (August–November).
For warmer climates, providing afternoon shade and mulching to keep roots cool is beneficial.
