Characteristics:
- Flower Type: Anemone

- Bloom Size: 5cm
- Bloom Time: Mid-to-late autumn (April–May in New Zealand)
- Growth Habit: Upright with strong stems, ideal for cut flowers and display
- Pruning:
- January prune for shaping and strong branching
- A light tidy-up in February to remove weak shoots
- Fertilizing:
- Use a balanced slow-release fertilizer like Novatec or Osmocote
- Apply sulphate of potash leading up to flowering for improved bloom quality and color intensity
- Pinching/Disbudding:
- Early pinching encourages more branching
- Disbudding (removing side buds) helps develop larger, more refined blooms
- Support: Staking or netting is recommended to keep stems upright, especially in windy areas
- Watering: Keep soil evenly moist but well-drained to avoid root issues
- Excellent as a cut flower, thanks to its strong stems and rich color
- Works beautifully in floral arrangements and garden displays
