Chrysanthemum ‘Winter Queen’ is a late-flowering beauty, prized for its elegant, full blooms. As one of the last chrysanthemums to bloom, it brings a touch of grace and colour to the garden late autumn, early winter, making it a valuable addition. Its strong stems, long-lasting flowers, and soft-hued petals make it a top choice for both cut flower growers and garden enthusiasts.

Blooming Period: April to May
Suitable For: Cut flowers, garden displays, and exhibitions
Growing Options: Can be grown in the ground or in pots

  • Flower Type: Decorative
  • Colour: White, depending on the growing season, can give a hint of pearl cream
  • Bloom Size: Up to 14 cm when grown as a disbud
  • Bloom Time: Autumn flowering

  • Disbudding: For larger blooms, remove side buds to allow the plant to focus energy on substantial flowers.

  • Watering: Maintain consistent soil moisture, ensuring good drainage to prevent root rot.
Special Features
  • Exhibition Quality: With proper disbudding, 'Winter Queen produces large, show-quality blooms ideal for displays and competitions.
  • Garden Display: Its tall stature and vibrant colour make it a focal point in garden beds and during the autumn months.
  • Cut Flowers: The substantial blooms and long stems are excellent for cut flower arrangements, adding a touch of golden electro indoor displays.
