Bloom Period April to May
When you receive your plugs or 7cm potted plants, either pot them up or plant them out into their permanent positions. Water as needed, but take care not to overwater. For the best results, protect young plants from snails and slugs.
Chrysanthemum ‘Wine Kitchener’ is a stunning variety, admired for its rich, deep red blooms with beautiful burgundy and wine tones. The flowers are typically large and fully double, with plenty of presence. While it’s a naturally smaller-growing plant and not quite as robust as some of its cousins, it performs best planted toward the front or middle of the garden border. The blooms are still a very respectable size, reaching around 12 cm, and it’s one that often stops passers-by and draws lovely comments.
